EMBEDED Holds Its First General Assembly in Madrid

November 25, 2025

Six months after the project kicked off, the EMBEDED consortium gathered in Madrid on 24–25 November for the project’s first General Assembly, hosted by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) at its Faculty of Sciences. This meeting marked an important milestone for the project, bringing together all partners to review progress since the project’s launch and to collaboratively plan the next phase of work.

Over two days, representatives from each partner organisation presented advances across all work packages, covering scientific developments, methodological refinements, early results, and ongoing technical challenges. The sessions offered space for open discussion, allowing teams to raise questions, address uncertainties, and integrate feedback that will support the alignment of activities across the consortium. Partners also reviewed initial outcomes from data collection, modelling efforts, and early-stage dissemination activities, reinforcing the project’s shared vision and strategic direction.

Another highlight of the meeting was the guided tour of UAM’s research facilities, where the teams learned more about the laboratories and experimental environments supporting EMBEDED’s activities. The visit helped contextualise several components of the project’s scientific work, especially those linked to experimental setups, data generation, and validation processes.

Beyond the technical agenda, the General Assembly also facilitated strong collaboration and team building. A guided tour through central Madrid and a consortium dinner provided opportunities for informal exchanges, strengthening interpersonal connections that are essential for a large, multidisciplinary European project such as EMBEDED.

Throughout the meeting, coffee breaks served as valuable spaces for informal dialogue, where partners continued discussing work package interactions, explored synergies between technical and dissemination tasks, and exchanged ideas on how to streamline workflows as the project progresses.

The successful General Assembly demonstrated the commitment and shared motivation of all partners. With clearer roadmaps, consolidated action points, and renewed momentum, the consortium is well-positioned to advance the next stages of EMBEDED and continue working toward its overarching goals of delivering cutting-edge research, robust methodologies, and high-impact outcomes for the scientific and innovation community across Europe.
